  • Android Auto runs at 1080p, and the car's picture changes size during the drive (1080p, 720p or 480p) as the link allows, without restarting Android Auto or losing your navigation.
  • A picture change, UNDO and the connection test take effect at once, with no restart.
  • During a call the picture goes to 720p and stays smoother (15 fps).
  • The picture-change line on the car's screen fills and goes by itself.
  • The car page recovers by itself if it gets stuck while loading.

  • Setup walks you through the hotspot and Android Auto, and on Samsung guides you to a routine that turns the hotspot on with the car.
  • A connection test on the car's screen picks your picture; steady drives move it up.
  • No location permission: auto-stop uses the car's Bluetooth.
  • Navigation voice during calls (Settings, Car).
  • Without signal, the car still finds PAATH for up to a minute.

  • Easier to read: lighter gray and larger text across the app.
  • At 1080p on a weak connection, the picture steps lower before it breaks up. If even that is too much, PAATH switches to 720p for the rest of the drive (never right after a call) and says so on the car's screen. You can turn this off in Video & Sound.
  • Samsung hotspot guide: on phones where PAATH can't read the band, tap DONE once you have set it.

  • Samsung phones: a step by step guide to the best hotspot setup for your car, in HELP. The steps sit in your notifications and tick as you set them.
  • If your car can't find the phone's 5 GHz hotspot, PAATH offers the guide.
  • On a weak connection the car's picture now holds still for a moment instead of breaking up into green blocks.

  • Fixes PAATH saying "Android Auto is on another screen" after STOP and START when no other screen was connected.
  • After STOP and START, the car screen catches up within seconds. It could keep an old message, like ANDROID AUTO IS NOT READY, over a working picture for up to a minute.

  • If Android Auto is already on another screen in the car, PAATH now waits and says so, then connects by itself once that screen lets go.
